Rule 10 - On Opposite Tacks
When boats are on opposite Tack, Starboard or Port s, a port -tack boat shall Keep Clear of a starboard -tack boat.
Application
This rule is one of the fundamental right-of-way rules in Part 2, Section A and applies when boats meet on opposite tacks .
The starboard boat has right of way, and the port boat must keep clear .
